Duties include training and assisting program participants in the development of skills and knowledge necessary to meet the employer's requirements and perform the duties of the job.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Instructs program participants on specific job duties. Gradually decreases direct assistance so participant can work independently. Follows up on various leads with potential employers to develop actual jobs. Assists with maintenance of participant files to meet Department of Rehabilitation, Commission Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and other applicable agencies standards (e.g. completion of referrals, admissions, intake assessments, job matching and progress documentation). Helps maintain working relationships with participants, their family members, referral agencies, community resources, and Easterseals members. Other assignments that may need the employees expertise knowledge or ability.


Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, with all levels of staff. Ability to write & type reports as required by management. Ability to obtain fingerprint/abuse index clearance from Community Care Licensing, if program requires. Valid CPR and First Aid Certifications. Ability to pass post-offer medical examination. Ability to travel locally, reliable transportation, proof of valid California drivers license, proper auto insurance, and vehicle registration
