The Windows Systems Administrator position will provide technical software and hardware support for the companys desktop, laptop and servers including the overall IT infrastructure. This person will also be responsible for managing and completing any assigned projects. As a part of this role, the Windows Engineer will also have some Helpdesk responsibilities including Level 2 support. The Windows Engineer performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with policies and procedures, regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
Configuration, management, monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting of corporate servers running Windows 2 server operating systems.
Management and maintenance of all corporate servers running AD, DNS, DHCP.
Review and architect Active Directory design improvements.
Design, implement and maintain Exchange 2010.
Design, implement and maintain Lync 2010.
Design, implement and maintain SharePoint 2010.
Configuring and maintaining SAN solution.
Patch management.
Working with various departments for all IT related projects.
Creating and recommending corporate wide group policies.
Creating detailed documentation and diagrams of corporate IT environment.
Maintaining all backups and documenting processes
Monitoring server performance.
Monitoring all logs for any issues.
Crash Dump Analysis.
Monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure.
Identifying areas for continuous improvement.
Participating in new technology evaluations.
Ongoing oversight of a disaster recovery plan for IT infrastructure.
Assist with policy and procedures related to IT infrastructure.
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
24/7 on call.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Other Responsibilities
Responsible for representing the company and for providing customer service in a professional manner when working with staff and other customers/vendors.
Ensures that annual performance self-evaluation is completed within company guidelines.
Required attendance at department staff meetings.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with safety guidelines, policies and procedures, regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, and other applicable federal, state and local laws.
Performs quality control practices as defined by the policies and procedures.
Supports the organizations Standards of Professional Conduct as outlined in the company's Policies and Procedures, and the mission, vision and values of the organization.
Maintains a neat and organized work station and environment.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Competencies and Skills:
Solid understanding of networking technologies and infrastructure.
Solid understanding of Windows infrastructure (AD, DNS, GPO, etc.).
Microsoft technical design and implementation experience.

HP ProCurve Switches
Cisco ASA 5510
Commvault Backup
Citrix XenServer
MS HyperV
IIS configuration and troubleshooting.
SAN/NAS Technologies
Powershell Scripting
